As a society, we can do better than dehumanizing any group of people, including those waiting to be born.

Psalm 139:13-14

13 For you formed my inward parts;
    you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
    my soul knows it very well.

The Unshakable Faith Series

~Christian Historical Fiction~

♥ With a Little Romance ♥

“Lost  Love  and  Shipwrecked  is  a  tasty slice of Americana with an authentic pre-Revolutionary War feel. . . . The beautifully captured speech . . . make the story at once charming, challenging, and inspirational.”

—Laurie Fowler, Bible teacher, missionary

"Jessica Dorman and Cathy Bryant have done an excellent job of capturing the historical Christian culture  and  practices  of  the  era  in an engaging and  interesting  manner.  However,   it  is  their ability to emotionally draw the reader into  the ups and  downs,  twists   and   turns   of    the    romance    between  Susanna  and  William,  and  their interactions with  their families  and  friends so realistically,  that keeps the book fresh page after page until the end. Kudos to the authors."

—Dr. Michael Coffman,  author,

President of Environmental Perspectives, Inc. (EPI)

Even though there are connections, each book in the series may be read as a stand-alone.

"I thoroughly enjoyed reading Sarah Anne's Expedient Marriage and I do intend to read it again some time in the future; I wanted more when I realized I had reached the end. As a Christian myself I'm certain my faith was strengthened after reading about the difficulties this young woman endured, and the humility of her character. The suspense was great.I thought the book was well written and it kept me riveted throughout the entire story.The plots and plans were well placed and the outcome was, at times, totally surprising in a good way."

"In the fourth book of the Unshakable Faith series, the mother-and-daughter writing team of Bryant and Dorman return to pre-Revolutionary War Massachusetts to continue the tale of Sarah Anne Swyndhurst. Having suffered the loss of both her husband and her son,Sarah travels to the home of Daniel and Joanna Thompson to help with the birth of their third child. Soon after giving birth, Joanna, realizing that she is dying, asks Daniel to marry Sarah after she is gone. This way, Sarah can take care of her family and Daniel can take care of the young widow. At first, both Daniel and Sarah reject the idea, but in time they agree to a celibate marriage of convenience. All goes well until Joanna's estranged brother George arrives to make trouble. Angry at Sarah for stepping into Joanna's place, he is determined to do all he can to make her leave. Although this is part of a series, the book functions well as a standalone. While the writing is somewhat formal and the characters' emotions are restrained, these traits reflect prim and proper 18th-century society. Bryant and Dorman invite readers to escape into the past in this enjoyable work of historical Christian fiction."
